Sometimes people wherever they work need a vacation or at least a break to refresh their minds after a huge storm of paper work and heavy work load with overwhelming stress. It is usual and normal to reward that kind of people who worked so hard in their projects and tasks and let them go away and have relaxation time with their family or friends. However, few organizations or companies refuse to let their employee to go on a vacation at certain times of the year or for some reasons, and I'm one of them NOW!
I really need to have a break... A long very looooooong break because I didn't go on a vacation since July 2005 not even 1 single day!! After I finished my project in the company last week, they nominated me to another project... so I have to choose now whether to go on a vacation or stay here and handle the new project as a team leader till the end of August. Remember, If I insist and choose to go on a vacation, I'll miss a big chance to gain a new experience in a new IT filed which is new issue for me (DRP: Disaster Recovery plan and BCP: Business Continuity Plan).
Honestly, I didn't want to miss this chance. So, I've chose to stay in our lovely country and enjoy this beautiful weather rather than having a walk or going out for a picnic in a God damn foreign country!!
God, I missed those days where I was relaxing in a balcony looking at a green field or a sea view in front of my room and having a cup of coffee at morning before going to a trip :(
Nothing will satisfy me now like weekends. From this moment, I'll try to enjoy and make use of every second in those upcoming weekends inshalla till the end of the project.
I wish good luck and nice vacations for others... Allah yhannekom guys :)

sorry non-English readers, but I thought I have to write an English post from time to time to strengthen my writing skills in English and having feedback from my fellow well educated English readers .. hmmm, I know how it feels like when weekends are not enough to release your mind from all that stress.
It's a serious sign which means... Khaled You Must Take a Vacation As Soon As you Can!. So, I expect you book on the nearest date after ending your project enshallah.
It's good to write in English because the only way to learn it is Practising.

Take your vacation after the summer ends! Come to London in September or October, we can go out on photography walks together then :D
Avoid "summer" vacations while you can, everything will be cheaper and less crowded.
By the way, I couldn't find any major badleyat while reading your post ;)

I understand from where you're coming from, I am having the exact same dilemma. However, I chose the vacation route instead! Though, I think this is where we differ, because in your case the choices you have to make will have an impact on your career. Mine, on the other case, just allows me more time to relax. I think if I was in your position, I'd choose to embark on this new project. I know this might label us as both workaholics, but I think its too much of a risk not to accept. This could be a gateway into a new life, with a job that could satisfy you in a very single way. I think after this experience, a vacation will mean so much more now that you've accomplished something. If you take the easy out, I feel you'll come to regret it.
In my opinion, people have stressed so much on vacation time that ultimately it loses its meaning. Relaxing doesn’t necessarily mean going away for long periods of time and doing nothing. You should really step back during the weekends and think of new ways to enjoy your time. After all, this is what a vacation really means: being somewhere where you can enjoy yourself and those around you. It doesn't matter where. It doesn’t matter when. It matters how you feel.
